Strength Training for Runners

Designed for Runners - Stacy Jantz Instructor:  Free weights and other tools will be used to help runners strengthen their legs and core. In addition, we will incorporate balance exercises and other drills with intention of strengthening joints and correcting muscle imbalances often caused by running. This program will follow a progression over the off-season to have you ready for your spring races.

Stacy Jantz, NSCA CPT - Instructor: I have been a runner for my entire life and an endurance runner for about ten years now. I have run 7 marathons, five 50-milers, one 100-miler, countless timed ultramarathons as well as 3 Ragnar Relays. Within the past year, I have started to dabble in triathlons, starting with the sprint distance. I stay injury-free by making strength training an important part of my training plan. My favorite distance to race is 50 miles, with a PR of 10hrs 26min at Ice Age Trail 50. My goals for 2019 are to qualify for Boston Marathon in February at the Mesa-Phoenix Marathon and to break 10 hours for 50 miles at Ice Age Trail 50 in May.

Small World of Sports class: SOCCER (Age 4-6) 12:30-1:30pm with Coach Paul!

Come work out while your child plays soccer.

With Instructor Stacy Jantz:  Combining weights and cardio together in one class, Boot camp will jump start your metabolism for the day! Circuits will consist of safe and effective exercises that can always be modified for all levels.
